Mahaganudu Is Based On Late NTR's Life: Directed by Kumar Rajendra
The speculations were being made on the biopic on the life of late legendary Telugu actor Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (NTR) from long time. Finally, here is a Telugu film titled Mahaganudu, which will be based on the life of late NTR. The Funds from this film, which is in the offing, will be donated for the development of the new capital of Andhra Pradesh post-bifurcation. Mahaganudu is written and directed by D Kumar Rajendra. Talking about the film the director says, "We are adapting the life story of NTR into a film. We will make it in such a way that it doesn't provoke any controversies or prejudices. The actor who will be reprising NTR in the film will be revealed soon."
Made on a whopping budget, the film Mahaganudu will be jointly produced by Anil Sudhakar, NB Chowdhary and Krishna Rao. D Kumar Rajendra added, "The revenue generated from this film will be donated to the development of the new capital of Andhra Pradesh. This is our way of contributing to the development of the state." Late NTR is one of the pioneers of Telugu filmdom and he starred in 274 Telugu films, 15 Tamil films and three Hindi films. He also served as the Chief Minister of the state after he floated the Telugu Desam Party (TDP).
