Prostitution racket busted

Madhapur police busted a hitech prostitution racket involving a television actress and arrested two persons, including an industrialist, on Tuesday.

The Special Operations Team (SOT) of Cyberabad raided a flat at Fortune Towers apartment at Madhapur and busted the racket. The organizer of the racket, Madan, is absconding,. Police managed to arrest his assistant Venkata Ramana and a customer, Sajjan Kumar Goyanka, a steel factory owner from Jeedimetla. Police also rescued an actress, who was being sexually exploited

Venkata Ramana told police that Madan had rented the flat a month ago and started running the prostitution racket with the victim. "Madan was charging up to Rs 2 lakh for a few hours from rich customers," additional DCP (SOT) K Goverdhan Reddy said. Venkata Ramana and Goyanka would be produced before court on Wednesday.
