The first look of Ravi Teja-starrer Power has been released on the occasion of the actor's birthday. Directed by Bobby (KS Ravindranath), Power is tipped to be a mass entertainer that has Ravi Teja essaying the role of a cop. Ajith Celebrates His Birthday Today!

Star actor Ajith Kumar, fondly called as 'Thala' by his fans celebrates his birthday today (May 1). The Mankatha star would be shooting in the morning for the climax of his film with Vishnuvardhan and spending the evening with wife Shalini and daughter Anoushka, who will accompany him to Jaisalmer for the shoot.

The star actor seems to have advised to his fans that not to waste the money by putting on posters and banners of the actor. Instead, Ajith has requested his fans to donate that money to poor children for their education. Ajith who has a tremendous support among his fans in fact had disband his fan club a couple of years ago asking them not to waste time for him, and rather work towards their betterment in life and look after their family.

Daggubati Venkatesh was born on 13th December 1960 in Karamchedu, India. Victory Venkatesh, as he is known among his fans, is the producer D.Rama Naidu’s son. He has a brother D. Suresh Babu who along with his father runs Suresh Productions, a production company.

Venkatesh holds an MBA degree from the Monterey Institute of International Studies, USA.

His wife’s name is Neeraja and they have four children Arjun, Aashritha, Hayavahini and Bhavana.

Acting Career:
Venkatesh‘Kaliyuga Pandavulu’ (1986) served as the launch pad for Venkatesh in the Telugu Film Industry. Venky, as he is popularly known as, tasted success in 1988, with the movie ‘Swarnakamalam’. In the same year, he delivered another hit – in the form of ‘Varasudochadu’. However, Venkatesh could not capitalize on the success and make the most of it. He failed to give a consistent performance, which led to a downfall in his career graph. Nonetheless, the musical ‘Bobbili Raja’ revived his career once again. The film not only brought Venky back to the limelight, but also proved to be one of the greatest hits of the year.

Venkatesh’s venture with Bollywood director Ram Gopal Verma, for the movie – ‘Kshana Kshanam’, earned him accolades as an actor. Then came ‘Chanti’, a remake of the Tamil movie – ‘Chinna Thambi’, which proved to be the biggest milestone of his career. Later, it was remade into a Bollywood movie as well, with the name ‘Anari’ and Venkatesh as the main protagonist. With the movie, he became a family hero and received huge fan following. Venkatesh’s artistic skills are a complete package, giving his audience a taste of everything, right from comedy to love and romance to anger.
