Katrina Kaif advised complete bed rest |
Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif, who was diagnosed with jaundice and low haemoglobin count recently, is in danger again with her health deteriorating each passing day. People close to her are worried about her health.
She was taken to a suburban hospital again Yesterday (December 13) for further tests, as her hemoglobin count continued to fall despite the treatment. It took almost a day to complete all the complicated medical tests. Now, she has been advised complete bed rest by the doctors.
Sources said that Katrina's health took a dip after attending two consecutive nights on Friday and Saturday for the sangeet and wedding of her boyfriend Salman Khan's close family-friend Krishan Narayan’s daughter.
It is said that the doctors have not found out the cause of the fall in the haemoglobin count. However, Katrina said that she would be fine and all she needed is rest.
Well, we wish her speedy recovery!

South Actress SNEHA In Bikini Photos |
She is doing Bikini in Movie Goa directed by Venkat Prabu who gave 2 hit movies Saroja and chennai 28.
The sensuous beauty Sneha has often been known for her killing smiles and the homely sex appeal that is written all over her face. When it comes to her glamour part, the best that one could see was her sweet little navel and maybe one or two folds of her hips.
But here she is, showing what she has inside. The smooth and silky thighs of Sneha are sending shivers down the loins of many men and they are unable to get away from this picture. She looks crazily hot after cutting down her flab and this costume surely fits her hot figure in the right way.
However, there are those who say that this picture is more of a creative product from a morphing expert. They refuse to accept that Sneha can ever come like this in a bikini. Well, one has to wait for Sneha’s film ‘Goa’ in Tamil since the inside talk is that she has done a scene like that. For now, enjoy her thighs and sexy looks.

Pravarakhyudu is a mature love story |
Director Madan's forte seems to be love stories. And he comes up with another one in the Telugu film Pravarakhyudu, starring the Pellaina Kothalo trio of Madan, Jagapathi Babu and Priyamani.
In Pravarakhyudu, Madan spins a mature love story about two lovers separating and meeting after 10 years. Madan has woven in some interesting messages in the script too. In Pravarakhyudu, the hero says there's nothing such as love as it's only a question of hormones attracting each other; it's societal norms that bind and legalise two people to live together through marriage. He has his reasons for saying so.
The heroine, on the other hand, finds it hard to believe that there can be a relationship without love.
That is what Madan outlines in a simple straightforward story. The name of the film may be a tongue-twister and baffling but a kind of an explanation is given in the second half of the movie.
Sasi Kumar (Jagapathi Babu) and Shailaja (Priyamani) are classmates in college. Shailaja begins to love Sasi but on hearing his thoughts on love, she gets upset and doesn't want to see him again.
Ten years later, Sasi returns home from the US (he is a Zoology professor at Harvard). He finds a job in the University and his parents see alliances for him. He does not like any girl. That's when his friend and classmate Sunil reminds him that he's looking out for somebody like Shailaja. Sasi discovers that she is the principal of a women's college. He meets her but she spurns him. So he requests the University to post him as a lecturer in the women's college in order to be close to her.
The second half has more meat than the first, as. Madan's writing is better and is more in depth.
The film's premise is rather thin but Madan builds it up fairly well (though with unnecessary intrusions like dances, the introduction of Hamsanandini's character and some humour). Madan shows his strength in patches -- some of the dialogues are well-written and the scenes well conceived.
The film belongs to the lead pair even though it's script driven. Jagapathi Babu and Priyamani elevate it with their performances. Jagapathi Babu looks younger, fit and dashing -- which suits the second half of the film. As a student, he seems more of a 'misfit' but his performance is praiseworthy.
Priyamani is natural and acts according to the character's demands. She is a delight to watch -- she's like a seasoned actress -- and matches up to Jagapathi Babu. Both make the film endearing.
Brahmanandam, Ali and Dharamavarapu have nothing much to do. Hamsanandini looks glamorous but her character does not gel with the narrative.
Pravarakhyudu is shot well by Surendar Reddy, especially the parts shot in South Africa [ Images ]. The music by Keeravani is just about okay (nowhere near his previous efforts like Magadheera [ Images ] or even Madan's Gunde Jhallumandi).
Overall, the film is a decent entertainer with a message for the youth.

Exclusive Interview: Jagapathi Babu |
Jagapathi Babu looks fitter than ever now. Praise comes for his looks not just from girls but also from established filmmakers. Probably that is the reason why he accepted to play the role of a student as well as a lecturer in Madan`s Pravarkyudu. He speaks at length about Pravarkyudu and Gaayam 2 and much more in this exclusive interview...
Tell us about Pravarkyudu
Basically it is a love story about a couple who falls in love when they are students and are separated from each other. Ten years later they meet again. The heroine turns out to be a college principal while the hero joins the same college as lecturer. The conflict here is that of a girl searching for emotional security in a relationship and of a boy seeking physical pleasure.
Looks like Pravarkyudu has a bold concept!
Yes, indeed, it is a bold concept. Director Madan has also dealt with issues of sexual games in the film. Girls always mature faster than boys. They know that emotional bonding is important than mere sexual attraction but boys look for the latter first. It takes time for them to realise the value of an emotional bonding. This is the underlying theme of the film but, overall, Pravarkyudu is a good romantic drama with lots of fun, entertainment and good songs.
Any link with 'Pravarkyudu', the character created by Allasani Peddana?
No, but 'Pravarkyudu' in this film attracts women. At the same time, he is also honest in his love towards Priyamani in the true spirit of the original Pravarkyudu. It is also true that I had my own apprehensions about the title initially as I was skeptical about its acceptance with mass audiences. On my birthday, Madan requested me to accept the title as his birthday gift. So I could not refuse. Now, the title has been accepted by everyone.
You seem to share a sizzling chemistry with Priyamani.
We are good friends. We have a love and hate relationship between us. I like to be very natural on screen and she is also a natural actress. So it reflects when we act together and the onscreen romance seems very natural. Regarding Priyamani appearing in sexy outfits in a couple of songs, I would say that I insisted on director Madan shooting it that way. We ourselves took the liberty and did a sensual number in the film as it attracts the audiences and also helps the movie.
This is said to be the movie with the biggest budget.
It is true that Pravarkyudu was shot on a lavish scale and made with a much bigger budget than my normal films. All of us, including director Madan, Producer Ganesh Indukuri, music director Keeravani and the cameraman, wanted to make this as a visual feast.
Everything in the film looks grand and beautiful. That is why, today it has sold out completely. If we put in the best, the product really comes out well and if we believe in our film, it attracts the buyers. Pravarkyudu is a huge film in my career both in terms of budget and also the business that it did. I hope it also brings in huge profits.
Are you happy with the producers?Everything in the film looks grand and beautiful. That is why, today it has sold out completely. Tolly2Holly is going to be a big banner. They are sensible and know everything about the industry. They didn't step into filmmaking as just novices. Tolly2Holly is a reputed distribution company in the US and they distributed my movie Pellaina Kotthalo. So they approached Madan and me, to repeat the magic. They are also going to be happy with this film.
What differences did you notice in Madan - from Pellaina Kottalo to Pravarkyudu?
He has always been a mature person. His strength is in writing and he is clear about his ideas. He has made this film with good aesthetic values.
You are playing a college student in one scene of the movie. How did you achieve this younthful look?
Right from the beginning, Madan told me that I had to look younger and so I worked on it. I can confidently say now that I don`t look awkward in the student`s role in the film. The best compliment that I got for my looks is from the master director RGV. He said me that I am look very good in Pravarkyudu. He is not a filmmaker who compliments just any one and he does not give his opinion only to please others.
What is the secret of your fitness?
I am happy and content with life. It reflects on your face.
Can you name 5 films that turned your career?
Peddarikam, Gayam, Shuba Lagnam, Anthapuram, and hopefully Pravarkyudu
You have just announced a sequel to Gayam. Can you tell us about it?
Yes, the sequel to Gayam is finally taking place. Praveen, a former associate of Ram Gopal Varma, is directing it. It is the first sequel in Telugu in the truest sense. I mean, the movie really starts off with the 15 years of where Gayam ended. 15 years later, the protagonist Durga is coming back. Revathy has agreed to play the same role. We brought Kota Srinivas Rao`s role alive in the sequel. I am yet to speak to Urmila, though.
Why is RGV not directing Gayam 2?
Praveen developed this idea and script. When RGV heard it, he said it sounds good and asked me to go ahead with his protege. 'I don't want to snatch his baby,' he said. But RGV has offered to help me and the director whenever required.

Nagarjuna Praise of Mamta Mohandas |
South Actress Mamta Mohandas must be a happy one these days. She has not only steadily grown up in stature in Tollywood, but is also getting immense admiration from her two-time co-star Nagarjuna. When a superstar like Nag praises someone, it is no ordinary thing. The girl in question must be a true professional!
The 24-year old actress acted with the Akkineni in 'King' and even then she had got laurels for exhibiting thorough professionalism on the sets from our hero. She has acted in his film for the second time in Kedi and at the press briefing held in Hyderabad on November 30, Nag reiterated how he liked to work with Mamatha for the second time after King.
The admiration is something Mamta will long cherish. It is a big boost to her as a disciplined professional like Nag himself has patted on her back.
