Brahmanandam Enter to Bollywood

Guinness Record holder, Brahmanandam is all set for a Bollywood sojourn. The ace comedian was approached by Bollywood director Anees Bazmee for a special role in Welcome Back, a sequel to the 2007 blockbuster Welcome. Brahmanandam admits to have been pleasantly surprised to learn that Anees said "he is a big fan of me".

"A couple of days ago, Anees Bazmee called me expressing his wish to cast me in his next project. He created a very special character for me and I loved the narration and gave my nod. It's going to be a laugh riot all the way," shares Brahmanandam, refusing to divulge more details about the character.

The actor is yet to sign on the dotted line, but seems to have made up his mind to be a part of the movie. "The details are yet to be finalised, but I will definitely be a part of it. If all goes to plan, I could begin shooting from December 15," quips Brahmanandam.

It is going to the veteran comedian's second Bollywood venture. His first Hindi venture was the 1999 family drama, Sooryavansham, starring Amitabh Bachchan. Brahmanandam seems to be looking forward to sharing the screen with John Abraham, Nana Patekar and Anil Kapoor. "It's an ensemble cast and is going to be a rocking film," adds the veteran of over 850 films.
